Finse is a great place to learn snow kiting, and the course start only a few hundred meters from the hotel. Bring your friends or family to a fun course!

During winter 2019 we arrange together with Skikite several courses at Finse in the weekends. Some weekdays in the winter, Skikite can also arrange courses for larger groups or businesses on request.

If you are familiar with skiing or snowboarding, you probably have the knowledge to attend the snow kite course. Read more about the actual courses on Skikite’s webpages.

Price: NOK 5990, – per person in double or twin room
The package includes:
– Snow kite course with Skikite
– Accommodation Friday to Sunday
– Three course dinner Friday and Saturday, breakfast and lunch package Saturday and Sunday
– Free coffee and tea throughout the weekend

The course will be held in Norwegian, but it is possible to get translated information to English if needed. Inform us if you want information in English when enrolling for the course.

Program for the weekend

Friday
– Participants arrive at Finse by train from east or west.
– Starting at 20.00.
– Information about weekend
– Snow kite theory
– Distribution of basic equipment
– Security theory
– 21.00 Three-course dinner

Saturday
– 08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast at the hotel (Remember to make a self-made packed lunch)
– Start-up at. 09.00
– Packing the kite on Finsevann
– Safety during kiting
– Kite control in the air without skis.
– Safety procedures, maneuvering, ease and land kite.
– Control the kite with skis. When done, this will vary from person to person. Safety is most important.
– Lunch enjoyed either outside or inside the hotel.
– Individual follow-up throughout the day. Normally we finish around 16.00. If light and participants wish, we will stay on for longer.
– Review of the day and review of tomorrow’s session before dinner
– 19.00 three-course dinner

Sunday
– 08.00 – 10.00 Breakfast at the hotel (Remember to make a self-made packed lunch)
– Start-up at 09.00.
– We continue Saturday’s experiences, we emphasize crossing against / with the wind in strong / weak winds, and individual follow-up.
– Lunch and last gathering, with an evaluation and information about equipment, discount deals and the way ahead.
– The course ends so that participants can reach trains from approx. 15.30.
