The polar history

The polar history is an important part of the identity of Finse 1222. Finse has been described as the Antarctic in miniature and since the hotel opened in 1909 people like Fridtjof Nansen and Sir Ernest Shackleton has used this place as a training ground before big expeditions.

Even today Finse is utilized the same purpose as we have adventurers visiting on a regular basis; whether they come to practice or to hold lectures. More information about polar history is to come.
